EXPANDED SCENOGRAPHY &
VISUAL DRAMATURGY

AN ICE THING TO SAY

My work in expanded scenography aims to redefines the boundaries between performance, visual art, and spatial design. My approach extends scenography beyond the stage into an embodied, multisensory field where sound, movement, puppetry, and visual composition converge to construct meaning. Rather than serving as a backdrop, space in my theatre and dane work becomes an active participant — a living organism that interacts with performers and audiences alike.

An Ice Thing to Say is a scenography led project that is inspired by Ecoscenography and its dramaturgy came out of a process of interacting and experimenting mainly with the material of Ice and the performer's body. It has been part of the Greek representation of scenographers at the Rare Gathering Exhibition in PQ 2023 curated by Maria Konomi, Eva Nathena, Sofia Pantouvaki, Andreas Skourtis, Adonis Volanakis, Constantinos Zamanis.
